Details:

  • The event is led by successful entrepreneurs, who have built and sold companies, and have advised Fortune 500 CEOs around the world.
  • They're bringing industry experts, CEOs, and venture capitalists to speak. The venue will be at Corus Quay, which is on the waterfront in downtown Toronto. See here for last year's conference recap!
  • During the conference, you will have the opportunity to meet people from fast-growing startups, as well as mentors from Microsoft, Uber, Google, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Topics include: Artificial Intelligence, Entrepreneurship, Startups, Venture Capital, Genetic Engineering, Virtual Reality, Financial Markets, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics, Healthcare, and Cryptocurrency.

Want to know more about the field of medicine? Are you ready to get a kickstart on your medical career? Learn more about medical research, med school and careers in clinical fields from expert speaker, Dr. Claire Sheldon, MD/PhD.

More about Dr. Sheldon:

  • Noted neuro-ophthamologist who did her MD/PhD at the University of British Columbia and her postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
  • She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at UBC and also works at Vancouver's Eyecare Centre.
  • Dr. Sheldon will be speaking about her experiences in the MD/PhD program, what it's like to work in her field, and will be giving her tips and tricks for prospective doctors!

After the talk there will be time for attendees to network with Dr. Sheldon and our medical student speakers

HardMoneyHome Scholarship

Deadline: July 15, 2018

$1000 scholarship to an eligible student who has a dedicated interest in volunteerism and entrepreneurship. One student, who will be attending college or university in the Fall of 2018, will receive $1000 for tuition and/or books. The scholarship will be awarded based on a combination of merit and need.
